This last week I have had 2 requests for my homemade DIY recipes. I have been meaning to put some more recipes on my blog. So here goes. I have been using this first recipe for 5 years or so. Tip: the smaller you grate the soap, the better and you will not have to use an extra rinse. There is a liquid version and a powder version. I have made both and prefer the powder because it’s easier.
My Version
2 bars of grated Fels Naptha soap
2 cups of Washing Soda
2 cups of Borox
Mix all in an airtight container. For light or small loads, use 1 tablespoon. For normal loads, use 2 tablespoons. For heavy loads, use 3 tablespoons.
No-Grate Liquid Laundry Soap
I have made 2 batches of this liquid and I do like it. I have seen no difference in how it cleans. I just prefer my Fels Naptha soap.
Another Version
I will be making a batch of this next. All the same ingredients. Just no measuring. The easier the better is my motto.
